We are looking for Trainee Audit Associates to join our Audit Department. We have trainee opportunities for those early in their careers or for graduates.
You will commence a training contract and undertake a professional accountancy qualification. Your main role as an Audit Associate will be to assist more experienced audit staff. You will complete many routine and critical tasks to provide support to the wider team. You will learn on the job through observation and experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Provides a professional service to clients so that they feel confident in recommending the firm to others
- Effectively uses and updates systems with personal, client and industry data to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Demonstrates an understanding of BDO product and services when advising clients
- Uses facts to justify opinions/results
- Develops solutions by contributing ideas and observations
- Identifies problems, analyses information and asks questions
- Takes an active interest in industry/sector developments
- Throughout the engagement, always has a clear focus on audit quality
- Proficient in basic business skills e.g., literacy, numeracy and IT
- Establishes good working relationships with clients
- Always responds promptly to queries and requests; follows through and keeps contacts informed of progress
- Demonstrates conscientiousness and commitment to problem solving
- Organises facts, ideas and evidence logically
- Contributes to the team activities and communication
Experience
- No previous experience required, this is a trainee role.
- Willingness to undertake an ICAEW qualification.
Education
If you are early in your career:
- Achieved A* - C in 3 A levels (or equivalent qualification)
- Achieved A* - C or 9 - 4 in English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent qualification)
If you are a graduate:
- Above GCSE/A Level requirements
- Achieved a 2:2 degree in any subject
