Where will they be working
Flexible

Reporting to the Audit and Accounts Manager, with appropriate guidance and support, you will:

 

 • Draft working papers to support the preparation of accounts for sole traders and small limited companies.

 

• Prepare sole trader/company tax computations.

 

• Assist with audit field work (often attending clients’ premises).

 

 • Work with different accounting software packages including Sage, Quickbooks, Xero.

 

 • Learn double entry and bookkeeping skills.

 

 • Communicate with clients.

 

 • Support other departments within the firm as and when needed.

 

 STUDYING

 

 • Study towards a recognised accountancy qualification – AAT followed by ACA for school leavers or ACA for graduates.

 

• Balance studies and working full time with generous study leave provided by the firm.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

• At least three A levels at grade B or equivalent.

 

• A graduate with at least a grade 2:1 in a relevant field of study

 

• You’ll also need to have competent knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

 

 • You must be able to live and work permanently in the UK.

• The right candidate will be able to: - deliver accurate work to deadlines - demonstrate a commitment to delivering a first-class service to clients - work as part of a team - demonstrate excellent communications skills, both written and verbal - demonstrate good time management skills including prioritising

 

 • A driving licence and access to transport is beneficial as most of our audits are conducted at the client’s premises.
