Role description

Graduate programme to train as a Chartered Accountant based in Paris, France with ACA training in the UK.

Benford Lemaître is an accountancy firm based in Paris with 2 partners and a team of approximately 15 employees.  We offer graduates the opportunity to live and work in Paris, whilst training to become a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.  We specialise in providing accountancy, tax advice and planning to private clients and companies.  The firm acts for both French and international clients.

We offer:

  • A 3-year training contract with an interesting mix of accountancy and taxation for both UK and French assignments.
  • Trainees attend external training courses at a residential accountancy college in the UK, designed to enable students to pass the ACA examinations first time.
  • In-house training designed to help students on a wider range of soft skills and management topics.
  • Responsibility at an early stage and excellent career prospects.

See website for further details.

Person requirements

Applicants must have achieved a 2:1 in any degree discipline (minimum of 120 UCAS points).

Good numeracy skills are required.  We look for candidates who have good academic ability and who are able to express themselves clearly.  Trainees must have the commitment to succeed in their examinations.

Candidates should be fluent in English and have at least basic proficiency in French (part of the online assessment process involves a French test).

Applications will be considered subject to obtaining (or already having) the “right to work” in France, such as an EU passport or French residency permit (assistance with this may be provided by the firm on an individual basis if accepted).
