Accounts Assistant – Top 20 firm

Are you an Accounts Assistant or Accounts Semi Senior studying AAT level 4 or fully AAT qualified, with at least two years experience in a good quality practice, looking to upgrade to a very prestigious Top 20 accountancy firm based in Central London? Are you keen to utilise your statutory accounts, tax return, VAT and bookkeeping skills and work in a larger firm, gain exposure to larger clients, and be trained so you can produce more complex statutory accounts, management accounts and corporation tax returns? Are you keen to receive study support for your remaining AAT exams or if fully qualified, receive study support for the ACA qualification? Are you also looking for a firm which offers hybrid working – allowing staff to work 2 to 3 days a week from home? Based in the busy Accounts & Business Services Department, your role will be varied and include a mixture of statutory accounts preparation, corporation tax returns, VAT returns, management accounts (training provided if no experience), company filings, plus general bookkeeping duties. You will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from interesting sectors such as financial services, property, media, entertainment, technology, retail, fashion and renewable energy. You will also use cloud based software packages such as Xero, Sage One and Quickbooks Online as well as Caseware. You will work in a growing and supportive team and be provided with many opportunities to learn new skills and progress in the future.

To be considered for this newly created role (May 2023) you will likely be an AAT Student currently working as an Accounts Semi Senior, Accounts Assistant or Trainee Accountant, studying AAT level 4 or be fully AAT Qualified. You will have at least two years experience in a UK based accountancy practice firm. You must have experience of the above duties and after becoming AAT qualified, be looking to start the ACA qualification. Experience of accounts preparation would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided. Ideally you will have experience of cloud based software packages, especially Xero and experience of Caseware would also be an advantage. You must be well presented, professional and a team player.
