Are you an AAT Student with at least one year experience currently working in a good quality accountancy practice, looking to upgrade to a very prestigious Top 20 firm based in Central London? Based in the busy Business Services & Outsourcing Department, your role will be varied and include a mixture of bookkeeping (eg processing invoices, making payments, bank reconciliations, maintaining client ledgers, journal entries etc), VAT returns, company filings, plus receive training so you can assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and management accounts, as well as corporation tax returns. You will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from interesting sectors such as financial services, property, media, entertainment, technology, retail, fashion and renewable energy. You will also use cloud based software packages such as Xero, Sage One and Quickbooks Online. You will work in a growing and supportive team and be provided with many opportunities to learn new skills and progress in the future.
To be considered for this new role (May 2023) you will likely be an AAT Student currently working as an Accounts Assistant, Trainee Accountant or Junior Bookkeeper, ideally studying AAT level 2 or 3 and have at least one year experience in a UK based accountancy practice firm. The firm would also consider candidates who are studying AAT level 4. After your AAT qualification you will be looking to start the ACA. You must have experience of bookkeeping assignments and VAT returns. Experience of management accounts and statutory accounts would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided. Ideally you will have experience of cloud based software packages such as Xero, Sage One and Quickbooks Online. Experience of Caseware would be an advantage. You must be well presented, professional and a team player.
