Part time Accountant

Instrument Plastics is a bespoke manufacturer of display windows for electronic equipment. We are a family run business established in 1987 who are looking for a part-time experienced accountant to oversee and run our busy accounts team.

About the role

Nominal ledger reconciliations, preparation and posting of prepayments and accruals journals.
VAT reconciliation and HMRC reporting.
Preparation of monthly accounts to P&L and Balance Sheet.
Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and control accounts.
Monthly or quarterly detailed reporting
Assisting with accounts payable and receivable function when required
Assisting with strategic initiatives when required.
Reports to the Managing Director
To keep all work-related information confidential
(Working hrs) 12/16 hrs per week, 1 day in the office 9 am-5 pm, ½-1 day WFH.
About you

· Must be ACA or ACCA qualified

· A keen eye for detail

· Good IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Sage and/or Xero and excellent Excel skills

· Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative

· Excellent organizational skills
