Accounts Assistant / Outsourcing Trainee – AAT Studier

Are you an Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper or Outsourcing Trainee with at least 18 months experience, currently studying the AAT and working for a practice firm, looking to upgrade to a very good quality West End medium size firm of Chartered Accountants? Do you have bookkeeping and VAT return experience and looking to be trained so you can also prepare management accounts and P11D’s?  Are you also looking for a firm that will allow flexible working, where you will be based in the office 3 days a week and work from home 2 days a week? Are you looking for a role which will also offer study support for your remaining AAT exams and then study support for the ACCA? Do you have experience of Xero and looking to continue working with this software package? Based in the growing Outsourcing & Bookkeeping Department, you will gain exposure to client sectors including property, retail, Law firms, FCA regulated, international businesses, technology start ups, and entertainment and media clients. You will work with many private clients as well as larger corporate businesses.  You will manage your own portfolio of interesting clients, and your role will be split between general bookkeeping duties and VAT returns as well as P11Ds and the preparation of monthly management accounts (training will be provided). You will use a range of Cloud based software packages but mainly Xero. You will also help clients migrating to cloud based software and help train them and offer advice and support. You will be also help prepare various reports, analysis and business management assignments (such as budgets, cashflows, forecasts, working at client premises etc) for a wide range of very interesting clients. Your role will be varied and challenging, and training will be provided where necessary. You will work in a medium size and well established team that will provide you with many growth and development opportunities in the future, including future progression.

To be considered for this new role (March 2023) you must be studying the AAT qualification or be recently AAT qualified and starting the ACCA. You must currently be working for a UK based practice firm, with at least 18 months experience (or more), and have experience of the above duties, especially bookkeeping and Vat returns. Experience of Xero would also be an advantage. You must be looking to work on a wide variety of good quality clients, take on high levels of responsibility, work in a fast paced environment and be looking for promotion in the future.
