What's the role?
As a Bookkeeping and Accounts Trainee looking to start your career working in our Okehampton office, you will be on an AAT Apprenticeship Study Programme and will assist the team in the management and delivery of bookkeeping and accounts preparation services for our clients. Your key tasks and responsibilities:
- Prepare income and expense analysis using the firm's cloud bookkeeping software;
- Use this data to prepare quarterly VAT returns;
- Assist with the preparation of management accounts;
- Liaise with clients to complete filings and to answer any queries;
- Reconcile purchase, sales and general ledger entries;
- Prepare accounting schedules such as fixed asset registers;
- Make postings using the firm's accounting and working papers software;
- Prepare returns and other documents for filing with Companies House or HM Revenue and Customs as instructed;
This role is open to individuals to have a minimum of 5 GCSE's Grade Level 5 or above including English Language and Maths and who may or may not have completed their A Levels or an equivalent qualification
