What's the role?

As an Accounts Trainee role looking to start your career in our Bedford office, you will be on an ACCA Apprenticeship Study Programme and will assist the accounts team in the management and delivery of accounts preparation services for our clients.

As a recent graduate working as an Accounts Trainee role in our Bedford office, you will be assisting in the management and delivery of accounts preparation services for our Owner Managed Business Client portfolio with the below key tasks being carried out.

Duties include:

• Produce straightforward draft financial statements in statutory format using the firm's accounting software;
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts;
• Complete disclosure checklists for companies preparing accounts under UK GAAP;
• Complete company statutory books;
• Identify basic tax adjustments arising from accounts production and audit work;
• Prepare simple corporation tax returns using the firm's taxation software;
• Liaising with clients on behalf of the senior management team;
• Ad hoc administrative duties as needed by the client manager;

Qualification:

University degree; Accountancy qualification (preferred not essential). A-Levels in Maths & English Grade B and above.
