Job Details
A tax lead, with no direct reports they'll oversea all UK tax operations. They will exposed to a huge variation of tax and a really good opportunity to remain or become a general tax expert.
Client Details
A highly performing UK regulated bank, that are soon to going through an IPO which with it will entail plenty of employee benefits and incentives. Their primary purpose is to connect frontier markets and the rest of the world using alternate payments and FX.
Description
A detailed tax technical knowledge and;
Submission of all UK tax related returns for UK group companies including, in particular, corporation tax and VAT.
Transfer pricing process and associated documentation.
Preparation of entity and consolidated monthly and year end tax provisions.
Key point of contact with the external auditors re tax related matters.
Completion of all tax related disclosure notes in year end accounts and other external documentation.
Payments to HMRC for all tax matters (exc payroll).
Implementation of tax risk register, tax policy and tax strategy.
Implementation and documentation of tax related processes and controls.
Profile
Qualified accountant or other tax qualification
Previous employment with, or detailed consulting work experience of, a regulated UK bank.
10+ years' experience in a tax related role, including preparation of UK corporation tax and VAT returns.
Broad financial/ banking product knowledge (understanding the products and tax related nuances) including bonds, loans and deposits, money market, floating rate notes, foreign exchange spot and forwards, interest rate and FX swaps.
Job Offer
Hybrid working, 2 days per week in their Sutton office.
Contributory personal pension plan: - Minimum: Employee 2% and Employer 7%. Employer matches contributions in 1% increments to a maximum of: Employee 5% and Employer 10%
