In-House Corporate Tax Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in the Direct Tax Compliance and Tax Accounting for a dynamic and fast-moving UK business. They will be involved in a huge variety of projects across Corporate Tax, Employment Tax, Property Tax, Capital Allowances, R&D, Transfer Pricing and Transactions

This is a large UK business based in Leeds who are looking for a newly (or nearly) qualified Corporate Tax specialist to join their team

Description

The successful In-House Corporate Tax Assistant Manager will be responsible for:

  • Direct Tax Compliance and Tax Accounting, supporting with quarterly reporting to investors, the preparation of Corporation Tax Computations and Tax Disclosures for financial statements, and a wide range of ad hoc projects such as SDLT and Employment Taxes
  • Involvement in Capital Allowances projects, R&D, Transfer Pricing, Transactions
  • Investigating tax treatments, making recommendations, responding to tax-related queries within the business and project management as appropriate
  • Ensuring a strong understanding of the changing tax legislation in order to impact, influence, and inform decision-making across the business

Profile

The successful In-House Corporate Tax Assistant Manager will have/be:

  • Experience in preparing Corporation Tax computations and Tax Disclosures for statutory accounts
  • Ideally, ACA or CTA qualified, or working towards one of these qualifications (or an equivalent)
  • Initiative, personable and a self-starter attitude

Job Offer

The successful In-House Corporate Tax Assistant Manager will receive:

  • Competitive salary circa £40,000 - £45,000
  • 25 days holiday
