Tax Trainee

Our Opportunity
As a Tax Trainee you will report to senior members of the team to provide assistance, this will be principally the preparation of personal tax returns, inheritance tax, trusts, share schemes and reporting but will also include helping with any number of matters including research, marketing, reporting, administration functions and any other tasks that assist the team.
You will receive all the support that you need to become a fully qualified tax adviser, including support to take the ATT and CTA qualifications in the future.
Main Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Preparation of Tax Returns
Preparation of correspondence to clients and HMRC
Calling clients and HMRC to discuss clients’ tax affairs
Assisting with monitoring reports to track progress of meeting deadlines
Filing and managing tax files
Distributing post
Communicate with the Tax Team on any issues or findings
Attend all training courses as required
Assist with various administrative tasks as required
About you:
Must be a 2.1 graduate minimum
Grade B or above in GCSE English Language and Math's or equivalent qualification
Must be very comfortable with technology
Takes ownership of assigned tasks
Ability to organize and prioritize workloads
Ability to produce accurate and timely work
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively
Actively seeks to enhance own expertise and knowledge
Demonstrates drive and commitment to self-development
Professional approach to work and clients ie professional appearance, respect for individuals, and ethical conduct
