Are you an AAT Student with at least one year experience (ideally between one and two years experience) and currently working in practice, looking to upgrade to a very prestigious Top 15 accountancy firm based in Central London? Are you keen to utilise your bookkeeping and VAT skills and work in a larger firm, gain exposure to larger clients, and be trained so you can start to produce statutory accounts and tax returns? Are you keen to receive study support for your remaining AAT exams then receive study support for the prestigious ACA qualifications? Are you also looking for a firm which offers hybrid working – allowing staff to work 2 days a week from home? Are you also looking to work for a large firm which has an excellent track record of recruiting staff from smaller firm backgrounds? Based in the busy Accounts & Outsourcing Department, your role will be varied and include a mixture of bookkeeping (eg processing invoices, making payments, bank reconciliations, maintaining client ledgers, journal entries etc), VAT returns, company filings, plus receive training so you can assist with the preparation of management accounts and statutory accounts, as well as corporation tax returns. You will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from interesting sectors such as financial services, property, media, entertainment, technology, retail, fashion and renewable energy. You will also use cloud based software packages such as Xero, Sage One and Quickbooks Online as well as Caseware. You will work in a growing and supportive team and be provided with many opportunities to learn new skills and progress in the future.

To be considered for this new role (November 2022) you will likely be an AAT Student currently working as an Accounts Assistant, Trainee Accountant or Junior Bookkeeper, ideally studying AAT level 3 or 4 and have at least one year experience in a UK based accountancy practice firm (ideally you will have between one and two years experience). The firm would also consider candidates who are fully AAT Qualified, or almost qualified, and looking to start the ACA. You must have experience of bookkeeping assignments and VAT returns. Experience of management accounts and statutory accounts would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided. Ideally you will have experience of cloud based software packages, especially Xero and experience of Caseware would also be an advantage. You must be well presented, professional and a team player.

This large and well known City based accountancy firm with over 350 staff is an excellent place to learn and develop your career. It provides all its staff with supportive working environments where staff can learn new skills and progress. It is a sociable and friendly office and you will be based in a supportive team where you will be given every opportunity to develop your career and progress to a higher level. Overall this is an excellent opportunity for an AAT student with at least a year experience working in an accountancy firm, to join a large Top 15 firm and receive flexi working arrangements, great training, support for the AAT then ACA qualification and future progression on offer.
