Goodman Jones - ACA March 2023 intake
We are looking to recruit individuals to join our audit department on a three-year training contract as part of our March 2023 ACA intake.
Goodman Jones LLP is a central London firm of chartered accountants. Established in 1934, we are a team of accountants, auditors, tax, and business advisers based in Fitzroy Square, London. Together with our supporting IT, HR, and financial services companies, we provide the full range of compliance, support, and advisory services. Our clients include UK owner managed businesses, UK subsidiaries of large international groups, charities and not-for-profit organisations, and start-up business and entrepreneurs – across a wide range of sectors.
Training at Goodman Jones
From the very beginning of your training, you will work as part of a team on a wide variety of clients and sectors. You will gain strong technical skills in all of the key areas: accounting, auditing, and corporate tax. This is supported by the opportunity to work on one-off assignments and special projects. No function receives more care and attention than the selection and training of our graduate intake to ensure that not only do you qualify, but also that you develop as an individual into a well-rounded and assured professional.
Your course training will be provided by First Intuition, with financial and study support towards ACA qualification provided. In addition to this, your studies will follow a Government approved Level 7 Apprenticeship standard which enhances all the necessary skills, knowledge and work required to become a qualified Accountant.
Our salaries are constantly reviewed to ensure we pay a competitive salary at all levels. Salaries are increased annually, part of which is performance-based, and there are further increases relating to professional progression throughout your employment . In addition to this we also offer the following:

Every applicant chosen to become one of our trainees is selected on the basis that they have the attributes we believe are required to progress to a very senior level at Goodman Jones. Indeed, many of our current managers and partners trained at Goodman Jones.
What we look for
We look for students with strong academic results; we require a minimum 2.1 degree (in any subject) and 120 UCAS tariff points. We may consider candidates outside of these grade requirements if they are exceptional in all other respects – we do consider the ‘whole person’ in making our selection as we believe enthusiasm, the ability to mix with people, strong communication skills, and a determination to succeed are also all equal importance.
