Job Details
Immediate and September 2022 start.
We want to hear from bright, ambitious graduates who are keen to join our growing Tax Advisory team. This is a great opportunity for motivated, articulate and career-minded individuals to progress in a career within taxation.
Your Role
Here’s a glimpse of what you can expect as an Ecovis Tax Associate:
Making the complex understandable
As tax legislation is becoming increasingly complex, our clients need to understand how the evolving tax environment impacts their business and personal finances. As a tax associate, you will help our clients manage their tax affairs to ensure they stay ahead of the changing legislation, identify tax planning opportunities, and minimise risk.
The Programme
You will be working towards the CTA qualification through the Joint Programme route (ACA/CTA). These qualifications will give you the technical expertise and insight to advise our clients.
During this three-year training programme your role will be primarily focused on assisting businesses with their corporate tax affairs. However, there will be opportunities to develop a better understanding in other areas of taxation (including personal tax, VAT, and employment).
We work with a range of entrepreneurial individuals and businesses from young and fast-growing owner-manged businesses through to large, well-established multinationals. This varied experience will allow you to gain exceptional insight into finance functions of all shapes and sizes.
Qualification Pathways
We offer different study paths to suit your experience and area of focus. Whichever route you take, we ensure you get time off work to attend college, complete online learning, and sit your exams.
Ecovis enjoys a supportive and collaborative working environment. While you’re working towards your professional qualification you have the benefit of being able to turn to an appointed mentor who has been through it themselves.
Entry Requirements
Graduates: You will have achieved, or on course to achieve, at least a 2:1 degree from a top university. The subject of your degree is not important. You will have previously achieved 112 UCAS points (equivalent to 280 UCAS points under pre-2017 tariff) from at least 3 A-Levels or equivalent and a Level 6 / Grade B or above in GCSE Maths and English Language.
What we look for in an Ecovis trainee
Our recruitment process will give you an opportunity to tell us about yourself, your experience, and what makes you right for Ecovis. Most importantly, we look for a good cultural fit, someone who will add value to our teams both personally and professionally. It doesn’t matter whether you join us from school, college or university – we will train you. Neither is the subject of your studies important – what matters to us is that you have the willingness to learn and contribute.
Throughout the recruitment process we will be looking to learn more about your strengths, such as are you:
- Motivated and focused on progression and continual learning Engaging and articulate Good at communicating with your peers, managers, and clients Driven to establish and maintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues alike
