Third year ACA Student – Mid Tier West End Practice
Are you a Third year ACA student or an ICAEW Finalist from a good quality accountancy practice firm, looking to upgrade to a medium size firm (around 80 staff) based in an easily accessible location in Central London (West End). Are you looking for a good quality firm which will offer you ACA study support for your remaining ICAEW exams? Are you looking for a firm with good internal training and support, as well progression and a good work life balance? Are you also looking to carry out a mixed general practice role, split roughly 70% audit and 30% accounts, tax and general advisory work and ad hoc projects? Based in the audit and assurance department, your role will be general practice based – 70% audit & assurance and 30% statutory accounts, tax returns and general client advisory work and one off projects. This unique firm has a very laid back and easy going culture and would suit someone looking for a good work life balance. You will be responsible for leading audits from planning to completion, managing teams and reporting to managers and partners. Your clients will be varied and include industries such as Media, Fintech, Property, Entertainment, Technology, Charity & NFP and Financial Services with turnovers to £200m+ although most of your clients to start with will likely be between £10m and £50m. You will gain exposure to groups, consolidation work as well as international clients. There will also be genuine opportunities for you to progress to senior, supervisor and then manager level in the future as most managers are promoted from within.
To be considered for this new role (June 2022) you must be a third year ACA student / ICAEW Finalist, either operating at Audit Senior or Semi Senior level. You must have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of practice experience. You will be working in a small or medium sized practice firm in a role at least 30% - 40% audit based and looking to upgrade to a larger firm where you will increase the amount of audit that you undertake and will offer you better opportunities, support and future development. This firm has also had great success with candidates who have lived outside of London and relocated to London and wanted to work in a good quality, friendly Top 60 firm. You must have experience of leading audits from planning to completion (or almost be able to do this) as well as accounts preparation assignments. Experience of a wide range of clients would be an advantage as would enthusiasm to progress in a short space of time.
