Tax trainee

Citroen Wells is a 12-partner firm of Chartered Accountants, based in the West End of London.

We are recruiting for a Tax Trainee to join our team. We pride ourselves in delivering a high standard of service to our clients and therefore train our teams to work towards and meet that high standard. You will gain the technical skills through study and work experience in the office to become a valued member of the tax team. Candidates must have a minimum of 45 points overall from the best eight GCSE subjects (including a grade 5 in English Language and Mathematics) together with 120 UCAS points. Consideration will be given to both school leavers and university graduates.

You will gain experience in the following:

• Assisting with the preparation of personal tax returns and associated work for a wide range of clients, including limited companies, private individuals, and trusts

• Management of key deadlines

• Advising clients of their liabilities

• Ad hoc project work

• Constant and effective liaison with all stakeholders including HMRC

• Building and maintaining key relationships.
