From treadmill desks to segways: Work your way

We sit down with Cooper Parry and discuss how their workplace is the ideal spot for students who want all the benefits! We are talking flexible working. We are talking treadmill desks. We are talking a people empowering work culture. Orianne Wightman, part of the People Team at Cooper Parry, talks us through how their workplace is motivating staff to work at their best.

We’ve ripped off the 9-5 shackles and empowered our people to deliver in the way that suits them best.

How important is work culture for students looking for training opportunities?

Let’s be honest – nobody wants to work somewhere they hate! That’s why it’s super important to consider company culture when applying for roles. Take some time out and really reflect on who you are as a person, what your values are and whether this aligns with a company.

Work is a two way street, it’s great to be a giver but remember to weigh up what you’re receiving in return and whether this is a fair deal.

Why is Cooper Parry's workplace great for students?

From treadmill desks to break out zones, segways and swings to sleep pods – Cooper Parry has it all! But great offices are just one part. What really makes a difference is the freedom and trust we’re given.

We’ve ripped off the 9-5 shackles and empowered our people to deliver in the way that suits them best. It may seem a “fad” but our stats don’t lie. Engagement is at an all-time high having been named European Engagement Company of the Year Award 2018.

Our people are the beating heart of what we do so we pull out all the stops to reward, engagement and empower them.
